Elder Nutrition Program Service

The Stockbridge-Munsee Community, a government authority located in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, is seeking a vendor to provide an elder nutrition program service. The agency needs to produce and distribute high-quality, nutritious meals through a cost-effective and efficiently managed service delivery system. This program aims to reduce hunger, food insecurity, and malnutrition while promoting health, independence, and socialization opportunities for adults aged 60 and older. The project covers the delivery of congregate and home-delivered meals that address the unique nutritional needs of frail, at-risk, and vulnerable older adults. Each meal must offer at least one-third of the daily nutrients recommended for good health. The selected provider must prioritize service delivery for older adults with the greatest social and economic need, with particular attention to low-income, rural, minority, or otherwise at-risk individuals. The agency requires the coordination of services to prevent duplication, increase efficiency, and strengthen overall program effectiveness. The scope of work also includes promoting socialization, providing nutrition education and counseling, and serving as a gateway to other community-based services and supports. While participants are encouraged to contribute toward the cost of their meals, the provider must ensure that no eligible individual is ever denied service due to an inability or unwillingness to contribute. Bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States, and the performance of the work will take place offsite. The agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget and has not provided specific evaluation criteria or key dates in the initial request. The selected partner must maintain fiscal responsibility, transparency, and accountability in the funding and administration of the program.
