Advanced Metering Infrastructure Solution

The City of Dallas, Texas, is seeking a vendor to provide and implement an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) solution for a small, representative segment of its government authority. The agency is trying to solve water system performance issues by installing equipment and software to measure unanticipated water use, customer leaks, diurnal distribution system pressure, and non-revenue water loss. The scope of work requires the installation of at least 1,000 meter endpoints across a wide range of meter types, along with radio and cellular-based communication systems as a service. The selected vendor must install and maintain the communication infrastructure and provide standard backhaul technology connected to a Meter Data Management system utilizing standard software. The agency also requires AMI system performance reporting that tracks network response time, read interval success, latency, message throughput, and network redundancy. All performance of the work will take place offsite. Eligibility is restricted to onshore USA organizations only.
