Two-Way Radio Communication Services

The Lane Transit District in Eugene, Oregon requires a vendor to provide comprehensive two-way radio communication services utilizing the district's existing equipment. The agency needs the selected contractor to provide, install, and test all necessary equipment to establish a fully functional system. This installation and testing must be performed on a not-to-exceed lump sum cost basis as proposed by the bidding firm. The scope of work requires the contractor to provide and maintain all central equipment for a trunking type radio (LTR) system. This system must utilize either a minimum of five frequencies exclusive to the agency or a minimum of fifteen frequencies shared with other users. The system must also include an emergency power supply to ensure continuous back-up power during public utility outages. The agency requires the trunking system to provide unlimited access and call duration twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week, regardless of system loading. Additionally, the contractor must provide training materials relevant to all current and new radio models utilized by the district throughout the contract term. Performance of all installation, testing, and maintenance work must take place onsite in Eugene, Oregon. The agency is limiting eligibility to onshore organizations based in the United States. The resulting contract will span a period of one year. The agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is currently looking for proposals to determine the cost.
