RFI for Mobile Biometrics Identification Devices Supplies

The Texas Department of Public Safety is seeking information on mobile biometric identification devices to determine functionality offerings and build future requirements. The agency needs to understand the capabilities of devices that can collect biometric data and run on iOS or Android operating systems. This market research will help the agency establish rules for records retention, automatic data purging upon expiration, and customized output formats. The requested scope covers devices that support multiple interface developments and maintenance for systems both internal and external to the agency, including the criminal history repository. The agency requires system notifications, banners, and automatic failure notifications to alert administrators of any system or program errors. Performance of the work can occur either onsite in Texas or offsite. Only onshore organizations based in the United States are eligible to participate in this request for information. The agency is looking for proposals and will accept responses digitally via email or online submission. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this request no later than June 30, 2026.
