State Legislative Consulting Services

The Stafford County government authority in Virginia is seeking state legislative consulting services to assist the Board of Supervisors and County Administrator. The agency needs a partner to acquire a deep understanding of the County's Annual General Assembly Legislative Program and assist in its development and completion. The selected partner will develop strategies for successful implementation and delivery of this program, which includes securing sponsors and co-sponsors for legislative initiatives and budget amendments. The scope of work requires the partner to monitor General Assembly committee meetings and track all pertinent legislation throughout the legislative session. This monitoring covers bills within the Board's legislative package as well as any other bills that could impact the County's position across any subject area. Additionally, the partner must provide ongoing guidance to the Board, County Administrator, and other County staff to maintain effective legislative strategies. The agency requires all work to be performed offsite at the partner's own office location. Eligibility is strictly limited to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is currently looking for proposals to determine the cost of these services.
