Unarmed Security Guard Services

The Bossier Parish Levee District is seeking unarmed security guard services to protect its premises from thieves, vandals, and other offenders in Bossier, Louisiana. The selected provider must supply guards to patrol the grounds and exterior of buildings by foot, lock and unlock the District Headquarters yard gates, and receive and forward emergency calls and bridge opening requests to appropriate agency personnel. Guards must report to the Headquarters Front Desk at the start of each shift to pick up provided equipment, including a cellular phone, portable radio, and a Master Security ID Card. The scope of work requires guards to arrive on time, dressed in uniform, and ready to work their designated shifts. At the start of each shift, the guard must transfer the switchboard telephone located in the administrative/headquarter building to the guard station. Outgoing guards must provide detailed shift handovers to incoming guards to prevent delays in critical response times. The required coverage hours span weekday nights and full weekends. Monday through Friday service runs from 4:00 PM until 8:00 AM the following day, totaling 16 hours of coverage each day. Saturday and Sunday service runs continuously from 8:00 AM on Saturday until 8:00 AM on Monday, totaling 48 hours of coverage for the weekend. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States. The performance of the work will occur offsite from the bidder's headquarters at the agency's Bossier location. The agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is looking for proposals to determine the cost of the services.
