RFI for Library Technologies including Self-Service, Security and Automated Materials Handling Systems

The agency is seeking information on current capabilities, trends, and solutions available for new Radio Frequency Identification technology solutions for the library. The project covers self-checks, security gates, RFID pads, and automated materials handling systems. The requested system must connect to multiple Integrated Library Systems using standard protocols such as SIP2, NCIP, and ISO 28560. The agency requires information on how solutions prepare for evolving standards or future Integrated Library System changes. The anticipated contract period for the resulting agreement is one year. The agency is looking for budget proposals as part of the submission. Eligible participants must perform all work offsite and must be located onshore within the United States.
