Armed Security Guard Services

The City of Westland, Michigan is seeking armed security guard services to protect City Hall staff, patrons, and property. The agency requires a security presence to monitor the building and grounds both on foot and via the City Hall camera system. The primary objective is to maintain safety and enforce City Hall policies while effectively managing problematic individuals with an emphasis on de-escalation and minimal physical interaction. The scope of work covers daily operations from Monday through Friday, between 8:45 AM and 5:00 PM. The selected provider must assist with daily closings, which includes ensuring patrons exit the building, securing entrances, and escorting staff safely to their vehicles. Additionally, the agency requires protection of the building interior and property during election services, as well as coordination with the local police department when necessary. Eligible bidders must be onshore United States organizations capable of performing all work onsite at the Westland, Michigan location. The agency is currently looking for proposals to establish a contract for a one-year period. Interested parties must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than June 19, 2026.
