Fiber Communication Plan Services

The City of Golden, Colorado requires professional services to develop a comprehensive fiber communication plan for its traffic signals. The agency previously transitioned from an ethernet radio communications system to a cellular wireless communication system, which has proven troublesome due to poor communication quality, high maintenance requirements, additional equipment fees, and high labor costs. To resolve these issues, the agency is partnering with an external entity to install fiber within existing micro-conduit and needs a structured strategy to guide this transition. The scope of work requires the selected contractor to assist the agency in identifying, prioritizing, and developing short-term, mid-term, and long-term implementation plans for fiber communications to traffic signals. The project will be performed entirely offsite. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency is seeking proposals to establish the budget for this project.
