The Energy Trust of Oregon in Portland, Oregon is seeking a vendor to assess the accuracy of the home energy usage modeling methodology used by its new homes program. The agency needs to compare actual, weather-normalized energy usage to modeled energy usage for program homes. Additionally, the agency wants to understand the differences in real-world energy performance between program and non-program homes by comparing the actual weather-normalized energy usage of program homes to a sample of similar non-program homes.
