Nurse Call System

The issuing agency is seeking a vendor to provide a comprehensive nurse call system. The agency needs to solve the problem of monitoring and managing patient calls by implementing a system with automatic supervision of bedside stations, emergency stations, staff stations, zone lights, dome lights, and consoles. This system must indicate at the console which specific station has failed and allow the transfer of stations between consoles without mechanical switches or additional wiring. The scope of work requires providing dome lights complete with transparent domes, stainless steel trim, backboxes, and white, red, blue, and yellow lamps. Bidders must utilize Cat5E or Cat 6 cabling with RJ-45 connectors, ensuring visible annunciation through corridor and zone lights associated with each call. The system must feature built-in diagnostics, a nurse follow feature, and a minimum of two years of retrievable call history, with every in-room device and call point having its own unique address. The agency requires the system to interface with cell phones, the facility telephone system, a patient wandering Real-Time Location System, door access controls, and the fire alarm system. The selected vendor must provide all necessary hosting hardware or cloud-hosted software. All connectivity between points must be established as an isolated, labeled installation that remains independent of the agency IT network. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations located in Canada only. The agency requires the performance of the work to take place offsite. The agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget for this project. The agency has scheduled a mandatory pre-bid meeting for June 23, 2026.
