Fiber Communication Plan Services

The City of Golden, Colorado is seeking fiber communication plan services to address ongoing issues with its traffic signal communications system. The agency previously transitioned from an ethernet radio system to a cellular wireless communication system, which has proven troublesome due to poor communication quality, high maintenance requirements, additional equipment fees, and increased labor costs. To resolve these issues, the agency is partnering to install fiber within an existing micro-conduit network. The selected vendor must assist the agency in developing a comprehensive plan to identify, prioritize, and establish short-term, mid-term, and long-term implementation plans for fiber communications to traffic signals. Eligible bidders must be onshore United States organizations. The agency requires all project work to be performed offsite.
