Transit Facility Study Services

The County of Midland, Michigan, is seeking transit facility study services to develop a long-term plan that positions the county-wide transit service for proactive, comprehensive growth. The agency needs to address current and future local and regional transportation demand, which the existing facilities cannot accommodate due to capacity limitations. To solve this problem, the agency requires a conceptual plan for a new, joint main transportation facility to house the combined administrative and operations staff. The scope of work covers the creation of this conceptual plan for the joint facility to meet the public transportation authority's administrative and operational needs. The study must also evaluate keeping a second facility with some maintenance functions elsewhere in the county to reduce unproductive miles and hours at the start and end of bus routes. Additionally, the project includes planning for a potential remote location for a bus to serve the outlying areas of the county. The agency restricts eligibility to onshore United States organizations only. Bidders must perform all work offsite and may submit their responses digitally via email or online.
