Land Survey Services

The Erie County Water Authority in Buffalo, New York, is seeking a qualified land survey vendor to perform comprehensive surveying services for a designated project parcel. The agency requires accurate and proper staking to identify all boundary lines of the property. To support planning and development, the agency needs to identify the names of all adjacent property owners within two hundred feet of the project parcel. The scope of work covers detailed topographic mapping, including spot elevations and one-foot interval contours from a benchmark relating to datum, with grades extending twenty-five feet beyond the property lines where possible and including the full width of the Right-of-Way. The selected vendor must locate and document pipe sizes and inverts of utility improvements, such as storm sewers, sanitary sewers, manhole rims and sumps, vent risers, waterlines, meter pits, valve boxes, electrical lines, gas lines, and telephone lines. Additionally, the agency requires the mapping of all structures, monuments, roadways, paved surfaces, ponds, watercourses, poles, fencing, guardrails, and curb cuts, including curb cuts of adjacent property owners and those opposite of the Right-of-Way. The project also requires a tree survey identifying all plantings with a diameter of four inches or larger, measured two feet above grade, along with their species and the approximate limits of brush and overgrown, inaccessible areas. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The performance of the work will take place offsite, and the agency is looking for proposals to establish the budget for these services.
