Unarmed Security Guard Services

The City of Compton, California, is seeking a qualified vendor to provide unarmed security guard services for several of its agency facilities. The agency requires both stationary unarmed guards and mobile unarmed guards to patrol various facilities as requested by agency staff. To solve its safety and monitoring needs, the agency requires guards to carry a mobile phone that allows for direct communication to the agency dispatch line. The scope of work strictly prohibits guards from carrying any weapons, specifically including firearms, pepper sprays, knives, batons, or tasers. Additionally, the guards must not carry handcuffs, zip-tie handcuffs, or any other restraining devices. All performance of the work must take place onsite at the designated locations in Compton. Eligibility is limited to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget and will award a contract with a performance period of three years.
