Vending Management Services

The Iowa Department of Corrections is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive vending management services across its nine prison facilities. These vending operations must serve visitors, approximately 8,300 offenders, and around 2,500 employees. The agency requires accessible vending machines for all three of these target groups. The selected vendor must utilize Microtronic card readers on all installed vending machines. The agency requires the promotion of healthy food and beverage choices within the product selection. Additionally, the vendor must ensure all vending areas are kept clean and sanitary, and must execute a quick, well-organized installation plan. Eligibility is limited to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency expects the performance of the management work to occur offsite. Proposals must be submitted digitally via email or online, and the agency is currently looking for proposals to establish the budget. The contract period will span one year.
