Olympic Cauldron Installation Service

The government authority in Atlanta, Georgia is seeking a vendor to provide construction, restoration, fabrication, relocation, and installation services for the Olympic cauldron relocation and installation project. The agency needs to solve structural, electrical, and aesthetic challenges associated with moving and setting up the historic monument. The project scope requires the removal and storage of twenty-two wood planks and their replacement with suitable decking. The selected contractor must install electrical systems for the cauldron LP gas controls and provide lighting for both the cauldron and the granite podiums. The agency requires the exterior walls of the vault to be battered with a granite stone veneer and granite trim around all four sides. The work also includes mounting an LED lighting strip in hidden locations to illuminate the base elements and the cauldron above. The project covers the revision of right-to-enter language to access the cauldron, as well as the cleaning and polishing of interpretive metal panels at the base of the tower. The contractor must prepare a comprehensive operations and maintenance manual for the completed installation. Performance of the work will take place both onsite in Atlanta and offsite. Only United States organizations are eligible to bid on this opportunity. The agency is currently looking for proposals and has not disclosed a specific budget. Bidders must attend a mandatory pre-proposal site visit on June 23, 2026, and must submit all questions regarding the solicitation no later than June 26, 2026.
