RFI for Solar Power Purchase Agreement Service

The Town of La Plata, Maryland, is seeking information from third-party solar developers and electric suppliers regarding the feasibility, structure, pricing, and implementation of a solar power purchase agreement to serve municipal facilities. The agency is trying to evaluate how a third-party agreement can successfully provide solar power to its local government buildings and operations. The project covers design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and interconnection with the local utility, specifically within the Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative service territory as applicable. The agency requires the selected partner to handle all metering and monitoring, which must include revenue-grade meters and continuous data access. Eligible respondents must be onshore organizations based entirely in the United States. The agency expects the performance of all contracted work to occur offsite. The agency is currently looking for proposals to establish budget parameters and pricing structures for this initiative. Interested parties must submit all questions regarding this request for information no later than June 26, 2026.
