Ireland - Regional Renewable Energy Strategies Consultancy Services

The Eastern and Midland Regional Assembly, the Northern and Western Regional Assembly, and the Southern Regional Assembly in Ireland require consultancy services to develop regional renewable energy strategies. The assemblies need to establish viable renewable energy targets for their constituent local authorities. This project aims to solve the problem of regional energy planning by underpinning targets with comprehensive geospatial and environmental analyses while ensuring compliance with all statutory legislative requirements. The scope of work requires the consultant to engage with key infrastructure stakeholders, specifically EirGrid and ESB Networks, to identify grid capacity, constraints, and planned infrastructure projects. The chosen consultant must also account for regional energy security needs to meet both regional and national targets. Additionally, the consultant must coordinate and manage the entire strategy development process in close conjunction with key staff from each of the three Regional Assemblies. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in Ireland. The agency requires the selected vendor to perform all work offsite at the vendor's own office premises. The assemblies are currently looking for proposals to determine the budget and have not disclosed a pre-set funding limit or specific key dates in the initial solicitation.
