Inspector Record Services

The Mountain View School District in El Monte, California is seeking Inspectors of Record to provide in-plant inspection services for the fabrication of a playground shade structure. The agency needs these inspection services to ensure compliance and quality control for structures that will be installed at two District school sites. The selected inspector must perform all work offsite at the fabrication facility. The scope of work requires the inspector to review manufacturers' test reports for compliance with specified requirements and verify all material identification. The inspector must inspect high-strength bolted connections and fabrication shop welding, which includes observing preheat and inter-pass temperatures, weld pass sequence, and the size of the weld bead. Additionally, the agency requires testing of rebar, post-tension strands, anchor bolts, and epoxy anchor dowels. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States.
