Lab Manager Service

The City of Somerville, Massachusetts is seeking a contractor to provide lab manager services to manage a safe and welcoming community space during after-school hours. The selected organization will operate on-site and report directly to the city Program Manager. The agency requires the space to be open to the public from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Mondays through Fridays, with Thursdays reserved exclusively for student-only hours. The scope of work covers programming, administration, a maker showcase, an annual report, and reimbursable maintenance and materials costs. Fridays must be dedicated to classes rather than an open shop, and the contractor must schedule all classes at least three weeks in advance. The facility will remain closed on holidays, school breaks, and weekends. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States.
