Utility Mapping Services

The government authority in Albany, Georgia is seeking utility mapping and land survey services to update and modernize its existing campus plats and maps. The agency needs to document its underground utility infrastructure to support future projects and resolve the lack of accurate subsurface data. The selected contractor will deliver updated plats, surveys, and a Geographic Information System mapping application that supports Single Sign-On. The scope of work requires placing physical monuments or reference witnesses at all major boundary corners of the surveyed property unless existing markers are already present. The agency requires the mapping to depict the property addresses, flood zone classifications based on federal Flood Insurance Rate Maps, gross land area, and vertical relief with specified contour intervals and information sources. Engineering services must accurately identify, locate, and map all subsurface utilities, including their horizontal alignments and vertical depths. Deliverables must include metadata such as test hole logs, photographs, and survey data, while accounting for data accuracy in horizontal and vertical positioning and the limitations of geophysical tools. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The work will take place through a combination of onsite and offsite performance, and bidders must submit their proposals digitally via email or online. The agency is currently looking for proposals to establish the budget for this project. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than July 1, 2026. The agency will conduct a mandatory pre-bid site visit on July 8, 2026, which bidders must attend to remain eligible.
