River Access Service

The Nelson County government authority in Nelson, Virginia is seeking a vendor to establish a new river access service site. The authority needs to clear a designated area of 5,566 square feet of existing trees and brush, which includes chipping and hauling all debris off site. The project requires cutting all existing vegetation down to solid earth to prepare the ground for a new gravel parking area. The scope of work requires installing fifteen-inch plastic roadway culverts off the road running under the site entrance. The contractor must install roadway fabric across the entire cleared area, followed by a compacted layer of number three base stone. Finally, the authority requires a minimum of six inches of 21A crush and run gravel, compacted in two-inch increments. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based solely in the United States. The selected contractor must perform all work onsite at the Nelson, Virginia location.
