Convention Center Management Operator Services

The City of Riverside, California, is seeking a vendor to provide convention center management operator services. The agency needs assistance in evaluating operational models, preparing and administering a competitive procurement process for a convention center operator, and supporting the negotiation of the final management agreement. This initiative aims to solve the challenge of selecting and contracting with an optimal operator to manage the local convention center. The scope of work covers eight primary tasks, which include an existing conditions review, market assessment and operator benchmarking, procurement strategy development, and preparation of the Request for Proposals. The selected vendor will also handle procurement administration, proposal evaluation, and negotiation support. The agency requires all performance of the work to be conducted onsite in Riverside, California. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget and will award a contract period of two years. Bidders must submit responses digitally via email or online. An optional pre-proposal meeting will take place on June 24, 2026. Bidders must submit all questions no later than July 6, 2026.
