Housing Development Opportunity Services

The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians, a government authority located in Dowagiac, Michigan, is seeking housing development opportunity services to implement a housing overlay. This overlay aims to accommodate urban densities of the underlying zoning district while allowing residential development to utilize less land area. The authority is trying to solve the problem of rigid neighborhood designs by introducing greater flexibility that ensures development remains in harmony with the natural characteristics of the site. The scope of work requires the design of flexible housing developments that preserve critical areas, open space, recreation areas, and scenic vistas. Each proposed development must allocate not less than ten percent of the gross site area for common open space, which must be primarily concentrated in large areas. The selected contractor will perform all work offsite. Eligibility is strictly limited to onshore organizations based in the United States.
