Government Affairs Representation Services

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada is seeking a vendor to provide government affairs representation services. The selected representative will advise the agency on the political and financial feasibility of its legislative platform and develop strategies in consultation with agency staff. This work includes drafting specific legislation, facilitating coalitions to advance introduced bills, and guiding legislation through the legislative process to ensure it is successfully chaptered. The agency requires the representative to proactively identify and analyze the potential impacts of proposals and pending legislation. The representative must assess legislative bills to determine which key pieces of legislation require the agency's attention. Additionally, the representative will communicate the legislative platform and position proposals to various stakeholders. During the legislative session, the representative must participate in weekly conference calls with the agency's CEO and President to review the week's activity and plan for the upcoming week. The agency also requires the representative to create summaries regarding these activities upon request. All performance of the work will take place offsite. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is looking for proposals to define the cost.
