Advisory Council Services

The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services in Austin, Texas, is seeking a contractor to provide advisory council services to support its parent and youth advisory councils. The agency needs to establish a strategy for supporting these councils and requires ongoing administrative and logistical assistance to maintain their operations. The selected provider will manage the compensation process for council participants attending virtual and in-person meetings, which includes reimbursing travel, meals, and childcare expenses based on monthly agency tracking documents. The scope of work covers booking and coordinating all travel arrangements, including airfare, lodging, and ground transportation for approved meeting participants. The contractor must collect itemized travel documents from participants before distributing funds for annual in-person meetings. Additionally, the agency requires the provider to deliver training and support focused on leadership qualities, goal setting, time management, action planning, effective communication, and identifying strengths and weaknesses. The contractor will also assist with transition planning, onboarding, recruitment, and establishing the infrastructure needed to support the ongoing work of the councils. Eligible bidders must perform all work offsite and within the United States. The agency is seeking proposals to determine the budget for this initiative. The contract period will span one year, and bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than July 1, 2026.
