Landlord, Tenant and Related Legal Services

The Rhode Island-based government authority in Providence is seeking a vendor to provide landlord, tenant, and related legal services. The agency requires legal representation and advisory support to navigate housing court trends, tenant-landlord-community dynamics, and applicable federal, state, and local laws. This initiative aims to resolve the agency's need for comprehensive legal management regarding rental occupancy agreements, regulatory compliance, and administrative hearings. The scope of work covers representing the agency at grievance hearings, regulatory hearings, and administrative hearings. The selected vendor must prepare, file, serve, review, and manage legal pleadings, documents, papers, contracts, and waivers, as well as appear on behalf of the agency in eviction and other legal proceedings. Additionally, the vendor must share best practices, perform required legal drafting, represent the agency in actions before the state commission for human rights, and advise on legal questions arising under rental occupancy agreements. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency requires the performance of all work to be completed offsite. The contract period will span one year, and the agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget.
