Strength and Conditioning Coach Services

The Des Moines Public Schools system in Des Moines, Iowa, is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive strength and conditioning coach services for its high school student population. The school serves a diverse student body and sponsors a wide-ranging activities and athletics program. The selected partner must support all students and athletic programs while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, inclusion, and excellence. The chosen provider must collaborate with the activities department, coaches, athletic trainers, and school administration to develop and implement a program that promotes athletic performance, injury prevention, student wellness, leadership development, and lifelong fitness habits. Specific responsibilities include leading strength and conditioning sessions, designing sport-specific and age-appropriate training plans, and conducting athletic performance assessments. The provider must also teach proper lifting techniques, instruct students on injury prevention, maintain records of athlete participation, and promote proper nutrition, hydration, recovery, and wellness habits. Eligible bidders must be onshore United States organizations. The agency allows the performance of the work to be conducted offsite. Bidders must submit their proposals digitally via email or through the designated online portal, and the agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget.
