Community Housing Development Organization Funding Services

The City of Bryan, Texas is seeking community housing development organizations to provide affordable housing development and acquisition services. The agency is trying to expand the availability of affordable housing units for sale or lease to income-qualified households. The selected organizations must be certified by the agency and eligible to receive Home Investment Partnerships Program set-aside funding. The scope of work covers the new development or the acquisition and rehabilitation of affordable housing units. For homes developed and sold to low-to-moderate income households earning at or below the area median income, the city will provide home down payment assistance to the purchaser at closing. The city requires purchasers to submit an approved down payment assistance application, complete homebuyer counseling through an approved agency, and contribute at least a specified minimum toward the purchase. Bidders must be onshore United States organizations to be eligible for this opportunity. The agency allows the selected provider to perform the work offsite. Bidders must submit their proposals digitally via email or online, and the agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget. The contract period will run for one year.
