RFI for High Level Mathematics Curriculum Service

The Seattle Public Schools authority in Seattle, Washington is seeking input and developing specifications for new instructional materials for precalculus, calculus, statistics, and high-level mathematics courses. The agency requires a curriculum service that provides opportunities for students to apply mathematical concepts in real-world situations. All student and teacher materials must be available in both a print version and through an online platform. The online platform must allow teachers and students to access content through a single-sign-on method. For teachers, the platform must feature a well-designed user interface, student data analysis tools, feedback capabilities, technical support, and instructional suggestions. The requested materials must require students to engage with and demonstrate understanding of challenging, rigorous mathematics. The agency requires assessments designed to elicit direct, observable evidence of independent student learning of course-level standards. These assessments must measure proficiency using accessible, unbiased methods, including grade-level language in prompts and items aligned to high-stakes assessment formats. The curriculum must also provide differentiation resources to support English learners, advanced learners, students with disabilities, and students functioning below grade level. Problems, examples, and contexts within the materials must allow diverse learners to explore mathematics that is relevant to their experiences. Only onshore organizations based in the United States are eligible to respond to this request. The performance of the work will take place offsite, and responses may be submitted digitally via email or online. The agency is currently looking for proposals to establish budget expectations.
