Medical Interpreter Certificate Program Instruction Services

The Monroe Community College Economic and Workforce Development Center and Corporate College in Rochester, New York, require professional development workshop instruction services for their non-credit Medical Interpreter Certificate program. The agency is seeking to solve the need for qualified instructional staff to deliver a nationally recognized forty-eight-hour certificate program in medical and community interpreting. This program must address the linguistic, cultural, and legal aspects of medical interpreting, base its curriculum on industry-accepted Codes of Ethics and Standards of Practice, and detail the process of National Certification for Medical Interpreters. The scope of work requires instructors to deliver these professional development workshops both in person and via Zoom, including during evening hours. The instruction team must feature an instructor with expertise in the linguistic, cultural, and legal aspects of medical interpreting, alongside a practicing Medical Doctor who provides services for diverse population groups. Performance of the work will take place offsite. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is looking for cost proposals from interested bidders.
