Special Education Services

The Pasadena, Texas government authority is seeking vendors to provide comprehensive special education services for its students. The agency needs to address a wide range of instructional, therapeutic, and evaluative requirements for students with disabilities and their families. This initiative aims to ensure compliant, accessible, and high-quality educational support across multiple specialized disciplines. The scope of work covers speech and language services, including therapy, evaluations, and other assigned duties. The selected provider must deliver sign language interpreting for hearing-impaired students during instruction and extracurricular activities, as well as for hearing-impaired parents. Additionally, the agency requires occupational therapy, physical therapy, and services for visually impaired students, which encompass therapy, orientation, mobility, braille, and evaluations. The requested services also include transition support for students with disabilities who are working toward post-secondary goals. To facilitate communication, the provider must deliver interpreting and translating services for speakers of other languages in classrooms, Admission, Review, and Dismissal meetings, and therapy sessions. The agency also requires computer-aided transcription services, such as real-time captioning or communication access real-time translation, which may be delivered on location or remotely. For educational assessment needs, the provider must conduct Individual Education Evaluations to resolve contested Special Education Full and Individual Evaluations. The agency also requires the completion of initial evaluations and re-evaluations for students who are newly referred or currently served in special education. Finally, the scope includes providing software designed to train, educate, or improve services for special education students. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency expects the performance of the work to take place offsite. Regarding the budget, the agency is actively looking for proposals to determine the financial structure of the contract.
