Personal Radiological Dosimeters Service

The South Carolina Emergency Management Division is seeking a contractor to provide personal radiological dosimeters service for the Radiological Emergency Preparedness program in Columbia, South Carolina. The agency requires individual permanent record dosimeters capable of quantifying beta, gamma, and x-ray exposures. These dosimeters must feature a shelf-life of no less than 25 months and allow for numerous reanalyses without compromising the final legal dose of record. The scope of work covers ongoing service where badges only require servicing or replacement if deployed during a disaster response at one of the nuclear plants. The selected provider must maintain and deliver permanent records of exposure throughout the contract term. Bidders must outline all potential additional fees, including specific charges for processing used badges as well as fees for lost, late, damaged, or returned badges. The agency is establishing a contract period of four years for these services. Only organizations based in the United States are eligible to compete for this opportunity. The contractor will perform all technical work and analysis offsite rather than at the agency facility. The agency is currently seeking budget proposals to determine the cost of the contract.
