Produce Prescription Program Expansion Services

The Colorado government authority is seeking a vendor to provide produce prescription program expansion services across the rural areas of the state. The agency is trying to reduce the statewide burden of chronic disease and address diet-related conditions, including prediabetes, diabetes, cancer, and cardiovascular disease. To solve these problems, the project aims to establish the sustainable operational infrastructure required to scale produce prescription program interventions and support local food banks. The scope of work covers awarding contracts to qualified entities that can manage and expand these regional produce prescription programs. The selected vendor must strategically allocate resources to hire dedicated staff, strengthen clinical partnerships, scale patient outreach, and enhance the capacity of community-based organizations to distribute fresh food. The capital budget is strictly allocated toward cold storage and food preparation and delivery equipment and infrastructure, and no grant funds may be used for direct food procurement. Eligible bidders must be onshore United States organizations. The agency requires the performance of the work to be conducted offsite. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than July 9, 2026, and the agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget.
