Embedding Substance Use Disorder Support Services

The Washington State Health Care Authority in Olympia, WA is seeking a vendor to establish and implement an embedded substance use disorder support services position within hospital settings. This initiative addresses the statewide opioid epidemic by expanding access to treatment, recovery supports, harm reduction services, and continuity of care in state emergency departments. The agency aims to increase patient engagement, provide education on opioid use disorder, and increase the utilization of methadone and buprenorphine in hospital and emergency department settings.
