Orientation and Mobility Services

The Texas state supported living center requires a certified orientation and mobility specialist to provide services for residing visually impaired individuals. The agency is seeking to improve the quality of life for these residents by helping them demonstrate increased orientation and mobility skills. The requested scope of work includes delivering pre-cane training to the residents. The selected provider must also deliver training to the center staff on safely transporting and escorting visually impaired individuals to facilitate client care. Only organizations based onshore within the United States are eligible to bid on this opportunity. The agency expects the performance of the work to take place offsite. The agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget for these services. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than June 30, 2026.
