General Counsel and Solicitor Service

The Camden County Municipal Utilities Authority in Camden, New Jersey is seeking a vendor to provide general counsel and solicitor services. The authority requires accurate, timely, useful, and reliable legal advice to protect the agency from loss and risk while assisting in making effective decisions among lawful alternatives. This representation extends to the board of commissioners, administration, departments, and divisions. The scope of work covers the review and preparation of legal documents, including resolutions, contracts, legal memoranda, and legal briefs. The selected vendor must advise and represent the board in a wide variety of contractual, employment and labor, financial, regulatory, and transactional matters. Additionally, the attorney must attend meetings of the board and perform related legal duties. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The contract period will run for one year, and the performance of the work will take place offsite. The authority is currently looking for proposals and has not disclosed a specific budget.
