Local Municipal Legal Services

The Charter Township of Oscoda, Michigan is seeking a qualified legal vendor to provide comprehensive local municipal legal services. The township needs a legal partner to handle ordinance enforcement and serve as general municipal legal counsel. This partner will work closely with code enforcement staff and local law enforcement personnel to resolve local legal matters. The scope of work covers two primary areas of responsibility. For ordinance enforcement, the selected attorney must review and prosecute ordinance violations in court, including violations issued by local law enforcement, and represent the township at hearings and trials. For municipal legal counsel, the attorney must provide legal advice on municipal matters, draft and review ordinances and policies, and attend township meetings as requested. Bidders must perform all work onsite in Oscoda, Michigan. The township restricts eligibility to onshore vendors located within the United States. Bidders may submit their proposals digitally via email or through the online portal, and the township is requesting that bidders propose their own budget and pricing structure.
