The Town of Roxbury, Connecticut requires general municipal legal services to support its local government operations. The town needs legal advice, counsel, training, consultation, and opinions for the First Selectman, land use agencies, and all other town boards, commissions, and government levels. This support must align with the town code of ordinances and help officials and employees understand their legal roles, duties, and interrelationships. The scope of work covers advising on Freedom of Information Act issues, records retention, and privacy matters. The selected legal partner must prepare and review ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and other documents to ensure legal accuracy, acceptability, and proper legal form. Additionally, the town requires legal services for routine real estate transactions as they arise. Eligible providers must be onshore United States organizations. The town expects the performance of all legal work to occur offsite. The town is currently looking for proposals to establish the budget for these services, and all questions regarding this opportunity must be submitted no later than July 16, 2026.
