Refuse and Recycling Collection Services for Various County Facilities

Montgomery County, Maryland is seeking a contractor to provide refuse and recycling collection services for various county facilities. The county requires the removal and disposal of debris in strict compliance with all environmental requirements. The selected contractor must transport all debris and refuse off-site to a recognized refuse or recycling collection center at no additional charge to the county. The scope of work requires the provision of refuse containers made of rigid metal construction, featuring double-walled poly resin or metal hinged lids and side doors. The county intends for collected recyclable materials to be transported to a designated recycling processing facility via a dual-stream recycling program. All performance of the work must occur off-site at the contractor's own office premises. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States. The county has not disclosed a specific budget and is currently looking for proposals to determine pricing. A pre-proposal conference is scheduled for July 13, 2026.
