Customized Employment Initiative Services

The New York State developmental disabilities authority in Albany is seeking a vendor to provide customized employment initiative services. The agency is attempting to increase and sustain competitive integrated employment for individuals with developmental disabilities by personalizing employee and employer relationships to meet the needs of both parties. To solve this problem, the agency requires a partner to strengthen customized employment services and bolster relationships with businesses to develop appropriate employment opportunities. The scope of work covers delivering individualized intermediate-level training and technical assistance to providers based on the results of a needs assessment. The selected vendor must perform cultural assessments of business partners to increase worker satisfaction as individuals gain and practice skills at businesses that support inclusive employment. Additionally, the project requires the development of new supported employment processes over a four-year contract period. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency allows the vendor to perform all work offsite and requires proposal submissions to be delivered digitally via email or online. The agency is looking for budget proposals from bidders, and all questions regarding this opportunity must be submitted no later than July 10, 2026.
