RFI for Multi-Objective Optimization Sustainable Harvest Calculation Services

The Washington State Department of Natural Resources in Olympia, Washington is seeking multi-objective optimization sustainable harvest calculation services. The agency is attempting to balance landowner objectives, such as ecosystem services and timber production, with the long-term maintenance of forest ecosystems. To solve this complex planning problem, the agency requires modeling that incorporates adaptive capacity to biophysical conditions and ecological functions operating within historical and future ranges of variation. The scope of work covers optimization modeling exercises using management actions dictated by the operating environment. The agency will also provide additional resilience treatments for the selected vendor to integrate into the calculation services. The performance of all requested work must occur offsite. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations located within the United States. The agency is requesting proposals to determine the budget for this project.
