Geothermal Field Study Consultant Services

The government authority located in Guelph, Ontario is seeking geothermal field study consultant services to support a comprehensive climate action plan. This initiative aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and achieve long-term decarbonization goals across the campus infrastructure. The authority requires technical expertise in hydrogeological characterization, geothermal system design considerations, regulatory requirements, stakeholder engagement, and risk assessment to support evidence-based decision-making regarding future geothermal development on campus. The scope of work requires the selected consultant to review all available background information, including existing geological and hydrogeological data, campus utility information, previous studies, and the developed field study program. Additionally, the consultant must identify risks, uncertainties, monitoring requirements, and potential mitigation measures associated with future geothermal development, culminating in a final technical report documenting the findings and feasibility recommendations. Eligible bidders must be onshore Canadian organizations. The work may be performed either onsite or offsite.
