The scope of work covers information gathering on current and emerging cloud migration models, including how artificial intelligence enabled tools and methods can support complex or large-scale migrations. The agency is also requesting information on secure, fit-for-purpose hosting environments suitable for government workloads that balance performance, resilience, cost efficiency, and data protections. Additionally, the agency is exploring modern hosting approaches and commercial models that can provide materially lower price points, leverage economies of scale, and strengthen long-term financial stewardship at the agency, cluster, and system levels. Eligibility is strictly limited to onshore organizations based in New Zealand. The performance of the requested work will take place offsite. Bidders must submit all questions no later than July 15, 2026, and the agency will accept digital responses via email or online submission. The agency has not disclosed a set budget and is looking for proposals to signal pricing and commercial structures.
