Care Access, Resources, and Support Program Service

The Indian Health Service is seeking a contractor to implement the Care Access, Resources, and Support Program Service to improve care, services, and outcomes for American Indian and Alaska Native people living with or at risk of cognitive impairment or dementia, their caregivers, and their communities. The program requires an approach rooted in Indigenous values to support meaningful, measurable improvements in dementia care. The agency needs a partner to manage a mini-project program that provides small project funding, training, and support to Tribal and Urban Indian clinics in priority areas to address direct care, service, and training needs. The scope of work also includes building a national Call to Action Network of dementia champions to expand program reach into other Tribal and Urban Indian communities, enabling peer learning and collective action. Additionally, the agency requires evaluation and data services to track and share effective practices, which will help communities, program leaders, and the agency measure progress, improve quality, and guide future efforts using jointly developed measures. The selected partner must also collect and share real-world success stories from Tribal and Urban Indian communities to increase awareness, spread new ideas, and encourage action. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency requires all performance of the work to be completed offsite. The agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget and has not disclosed specific key dates or evaluation criteria in the initial announcement.
