GLOBAL - Food Security Program Service

The government authority located in Hilo, Hawaii is seeking a vendor to provide a food security program service. The agency is trying to increase access to locally produced food among low-income residents, reduce food waste, and improve community disaster resilience. To solve these challenges, the agency requires support for collaboration, innovation, resource development, and programmatic sustainability throughout the local food system. The scope of work covers supporting farm to school, place-based, agriculture, and garden-based nutrition or food safety education programs that promote environmental stewardship and improve educational and health outcomes. The vendor must also support outreach for nutrition access programs to provide food assistance and education to low-income individuals, families, seniors, and children. Additionally, the project requires supporting the development and management of shared community resources such as shared use infrastructure, gardens, and waters to provide subsistence food and resources. Only onshore organizations based in the United States are eligible to bid on this opportunity. The agency requires the performance of the work to be conducted offsite. The contract period will span one year, and the agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget. Bidders must submit all questions no later than July 10, 2026.
