Forensic Chemistry Quality Assurance Services

The Maine government authority is seeking a vendor to provide forensic chemistry quality assurance services. The agency needs assistance with developing, reviewing, and approving standard operating procedures and other documents within its quality management system. The selected vendor will also administer the document control system, which includes maintaining and updating the quality manual. The scope of work requires the vendor to prepare and coordinate annual onsite assessments and monitor nonconforming work. The agency expects the vendor to conduct and coordinate corrective actions, implement a risk-based thinking approach, and initiate preventive actions to reduce risk. Additionally, the vendor must maintain all quality records according to established policies, including authorizations for casework, approved vendor lists, personnel training, courtroom testimony evaluations, internal audits, and management reviews. The vendor will administer the proficiency testing and personnel monitoring program according to accreditation criteria. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations located in the United States. The agency will allow the work to be performed offsite, and bidders must submit their responses digitally via email or online.
