The New York State government authority located in Albany, NY is seeking a contractor to provide worldwide consultancy services to support and expand its export and investment activities. The agency needs to sustain and grow New York State's current markets in a designated trade area while identifying and prioritizing the best prospects in untapped regional markets and industry sectors. To solve these market expansion challenges, the contractor must identify the best distribution channels for New York State industries, maintain records of qualified foreign business partners, and identify specific distribution channels for individual client products upon request. The scope of work requires the contractor to facilitate relationships between New York State clients and foreign distributors, agents, or representatives by providing language assistance, navigating foreign business protocols, and assisting with payment methods, regulations, and duties. The contractor must assist agency exporters who are traveling to these regions, and help the agency plan, coordinate, and execute trade missions. Additionally, the contractor is responsible for identifying firms, qualifying investment leads, and securing projects for inward investment attraction. The contractor must also provide all required information, status updates, and results of work orders to ensure quality service. The contract period is for one year, and the performance of the work will take place offsite. Eligibility is restricted to onshore bidders located in the United States only.
