Medical Director Services

The government authority located in Minneapolis, Minnesota is seeking a medical director to consult with its program team to provide clinical care to clients, provide staff development, and support school-based clinic activities. The agency needs to solve the challenge of ensuring best practices and quality adolescent care by securing clinical oversight, quality assurance, and ongoing guidance for its school-based clinic operations. The selected medical director will advise clinic managers, program supervisors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, program leads, mental health therapists, health educators, and medical assistants. The scope of work requires the medical director to review and sign off on program protocols annually, advise on new clinical protocols, and provide consultation to nurse practitioners and physician assistants regarding client care. The medical director must agree to a Board of Medicine Practice Agreement with the program physician assistant, update it annually, and sign off on medical doctor fellowship collaborative agreements as needed. Additional duties include facilitating referrals for clients requiring complex medical or mental health care, participating in monthly leadership meetings, and consulting on clinic billing practices, grant planning, and quality improvement. The medical director must remain available by email or phone during regular daytime clinical hours for consultation. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency allows the work to be performed through a combination of onsite and offsite services. Bidders must submit their proposals digitally via email or online, and the agency is currently looking for proposals to establish the budget.
